Depending on how you use MacGrid, we may collect limited website usage data, purchase and licensing records, support emails, and technical information needed to operate the website and app.
Website
The MacGrid website may use basic analytics and standard web logs to understand visits, page usage, and site reliability. This may include technical data such as IP address, browser, device, and referring page.
The MacGrid app
MacGrid runs locally on your device. Core functionality uses operating system state such as space layout, display layout, app preferences, and accessibility permissions that you grant in macOS. That data is used on-device. When you activate a license, check trial status, validate a license, or check for updates, the app sends only the limited data needed for those requests.

We use data to operate the site and app, fulfill purchases, activate and validate licenses, provide support, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
Purchases and licensing
Purchases are handled through Paddle.com, which acts as merchant of record for checkout and payment processing. We may receive or share limited purchase and license information such as transaction identifiers, email address, license status, activation data, and support details needed to manage your purchase, fulfill your license, validate usage, and provide support.
Third parties
We use third-party services only where needed to operate MacGrid, such as Paddle.com for checkout and payment processing, hosting infrastructure for the website and updates, and standard email tools for support. Data is shared only as needed for those services to work.
Updates
The app may periodically check an update feed to learn about new versions. Those checks are simple HTTPS requests and do not include personal data. Update hosting is provided through standard infrastructure.
Retention
We retain purchase, licensing, and support records for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, handle support, investigate fraud or abuse, and meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations.
